Download this 17-slide PowerPoint about the Jewish Torah to use in an RE lesson.  The PowerPoint explains that the Torah is the most important of all the Jewish writing and in it are the laws Jewish people try to live by.  Learn about the sofar (scribe), the Torah mantle, breastplate and crown and the Yad (pointer) and the ark where the Torah scroll is kept in the synagogue.  The PowerPoint concludes with 6 questions for the children to answer to check if they have understood and can infer from the text.  A great resource to use as Yom Kippur approaches!
